About

Monograph is a publisher of original limited edition artworks, working with artists with international and emerging reputations. Its aim is to offer their work to the widest possible audience at competitive prices.

Monograph’s owner Sean Nicolson, a corporate partner at one of the UK’s leading law firms, has cultivated a love of art since childhood – and collected art for over 20 years.

Sean is company secretary of the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art (which hosted the Turner prize in 2011) and was also a founding trustee of the friends charity that supports Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima), the acclaimed modern art gallery.

Having previously founded and run a commercial gallery, Sean formed Monograph to pursue his interest in working directly with artists to publish limited edition artworks.  He has a keen eye for what’s good in the art world and which works to invest in.

Key to the success of Monograph is the long-term relationships Sean develops with artists. Time is taken in the publishing process to ensure that the finished work is representative of the artist’s practice. Consequently, the work published is highly collectible.

Monograph offers secure payment facilities and your chosen work will be delivered to your door by the most convenient means that you choose. If you are not satisfied with your artwork, you can return it within 14 days of receipt and the purchase price will be refunded, (excluding the packaging and delivery charges).

If you have any questions, just give Sean or another member of the team a call, or email Sean at enquiries@monograph-art.com and he will be happy to help you.

Monograph also source original and limited edition works upon request.

We hope you enjoy our site and we always welcome feedback.
