Emerging in the early 2000s, Bennett developed a visual language that combines bold graphic simplicity with psychological depth. Working primarily with gloss paint on prepared aluminium, she creates smooth, luminous surfaces that emphasise line, colour and silhouette. While her early work focused on stylised female portraits and archetypal figures, her practice has continued to evolve, encompassing abstraction, botanical forms, collage, neon, laser-cut acrylic and printmaking. Throughout these developments, the female body has remained a central point of reference, serving as a vehicle through which Bennett explores themes of beauty, sexuality, transformation and self-expression.

Bennett studied at Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating with a degree in Interactive Arts, and also attended L’École Régionale des Beaux-Arts de Nantes in France as well as Wimbledon School of Art. Since 2001 she has exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally, with exhibitions in London, New York, Miami, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Singapore. Her work has been shown at prestigious events including New York’s Armory Show, helping to establish her reputation among collectors of contemporary painting and printmaking.

Bennett’s work gained significant public attention in 2005 when she was featured on BBC Two’s acclaimed documentary series The Apprentice, where she was highlighted as one of London’s most exciting emerging artists. During the same period, her work also appeared on BBC Two’s The Culture Show, bringing her distinctive visual style to a wider audience. Her profile continued to grow through a series of high-profile commissions and collaborations, including projects for Selfridges and House of Fraser, as well as the celebrated work Wink, which was used to adorn a Porsche at Silverstone in 2005.

Alongside her gallery practice, Bennett has produced a substantial body of limited-edition screenprints that have become highly sought after by collectors. Her work forms part of several important corporate and private collections, including the Groucho Club, The AllBright Collection and the Virgin Group.
